Terry loved your pesto--hesaid that the addition of tomato cuts the intense taste that heusually tires of. We both enjoyed the meal immensley.

Aida,
In case you are starting a file, and rate your menu items on a 1 to5 star rating, I wish to give the following opinions:
Salad/dressing: 5* - garbanzos were a delightful addition to thegreens, the dressing was tangy with a hint of sweet that wasaltogether light and yet satisfying.
Ravioli: 5* - the pasta was exquisite, and the tuna was hinting atit's being roasted yet moist and tender enough to leave youdoubting. The wasabi sauce left me licking the dish. Va-va-voom, what a melding of flavors- exotic and subtle, rolledinto one! I would kill for the recipe!
Dessert: 5* - what a delightfully sweet tasting, deceitfuldish. The flavors sneak up on you- first you think it's agrainy and bland tapioca pudding, yet, as it settles into the tastereceptors in the palate, a potpourri of tastes including that ofraisins and sweet and creamy starches emanate upward to make youwonder why have you never tasted this before!
Wow, Aida, it was an awesome dish!!! Thank you!
Gloria
DearAida,
I just wanted to tell you how delicious the meal was the othernight (although I had to share with everybody, including a sisterwho showed up unannounced.)...I loved the salmon; the dill andcapers were such a nice accent.
And oh that peach pie!!! The filling tasted like the spiced peachesmy aunts and grandma used to can when I was a child, and one tastebrought it all back. Bushel baskets of peaches, big steamingpots in the kitchen, and in the basement the shelves of Masonjars-- peaches, stewed tomatoes, pickled Italian peppers, and smalljars of my grandfather's grape jelly, looking like dark purplejewels. And the crust! I think its been at least a decadesince we had a piecrust made with real butter, one where you canfeel the layers on the tongue. We ate in near-reverentsilence punctuated only by occasional moans of, "This is sogood." When the adults had almost finished, my three-year-oldniece announced, "I don't like it. Can I go?" We alleyed her barely touched piece of pie, but my sister exerted herparental rights and firmly pulled the pie to her place. "Honey, you're crazy," she said in a shocking lapse of goodparenting skills. "Yep." "Crazy." We murmured inagreement.
Thank you so much. We won't soon forget the experience!
Renee
